My name is Jiwan Lama (Mangal Lama). I was born in Sarikhet village. I grew up in a Buddhist family. Because of that, I was very strong in the rituals. Not only that, I was a handicraft doctor. But we didn’t have peace in the home. Sicknesses always ruined our home. We did many idol things to cure the illnesses in our families but the sickness grew even worse.  

One of my youngest sons got sick and we left the hope of living for him as he was almost to the point of death due to severe sickness. By that my Uncle from my mother’s side came to our home and he came to know Jesus as his personal Lord Savior after suffering from many handicraft things. My Uncle said that this kind of sickness cannot be cured by the handicraft doctors except praying in the name of Jesus. Then I asked my uncle that if so  please pray for my son in the name of Jesus. After the prayer my son started to respond towards the feeling on the breast of his mother. At that moment I my wife received Jesus as our personal Lord and savior my life. Then the Lord had completely healed my son within some days. After that we started to grow our spiritual life in the Lord but later on my parents started to persecute us for the sake of our faith in Jesus. One day my father challenged me that if Jesus is real and He can heal your mother’s hand problem we will believe in your Jesus. Then we started to pray for my Mom and the Lord healed my mom from her hand problem. Then whole household and all the siblings believed in Jesus. About 90 families of us believed in Jesus within few months. But still the villagers were not happy with us and they started to persecute. The villagers blamed us in many areas and they put my parents in the jail. But after releasing from jail we build the Church building and started the service and house fellowship. 

One day on the day of house Church, a group of persecutors came to us and arrested me, and punched me in the chest. Then I reported this to the police and the police helped us to save ourselves from such people. As the Church was started in the Sarikhet village through our family, now there are more than 8 churches planted in this area. And after that, we immigrated to Harnamadi village in Hetauda. After we moved to this place we shared the gospel with the people in this village and many of them responded towards the gospel of Jesus and they believed. But again we faced persecution in this village. For two months we had to close the service because of persecution but later on the Lord opened the door for his work and the kingdom of God started to increase. 

Praise to be God almighty God had been working in our life from the beginning journey of our Christian walk. God had been faithful to us and used us for his kingdom. Not only that with the same heart for Lord I want to grow and preach the gospel of Jesus in this village where I am pastoring. I am so happy to hear about JSN ministry and Bible School from my friend Deepak Ghale. So this is God’s will for us that we are in connection in his divine will.
